2021 Public Budget Dialogue: Social Protection Under the Third National Development Plan is a hybrid in-person and virtual event organized in Uganda by the Economic Policy Research Centre and the EU Joint Action. It will take place on 4 March 2021 at the Kampala Protea Hotel and will also be televised.
The event focuses on the fiscal year 2021/22 national budget allocations proposals for Human Capital Development in the recent National Budget Framework Paper 2021/22, with a deep thematic dive on social protection and fiscal allocations required to achieve targets indicated in the Third National Development Plan (NDP III). The dialogue will also provide an overview of the new Programme-Based Budgeting framework and serve to launch the budget briefs.
