The Public Budget Dialogue on Programme-Based Budgeting, held on 15 December 2020 in Kampala was organized by the Economic Policy Research Centre and the SP&PFM project in Uganda as a hybrid in-person and virtual event and also televised, with a focus on the Human Capital Development programme in the National Development Plan III.
The event included leadership from the The Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development (MoFPED) and the National Planning Authority, who helped raise awareness and understanding of programme-based budgeting and its implications for social development in Uganda, including social protection.
